Mexican Star Osvaldo Benavides for Esquire Magazine Mexico

Oh boy, do I have a treat today. A shoot that we did a few months ago with Mexican movie and tv star Osvaldo Benavides finally came out in Esquire Latinoamerica / Mexico. I had the pleasure of grooming and pampering Osvaldo before the shoot.

You may have seen Osvaldo in shows like The Good Doctor and Netflix’s Monarca

When grooming men, i like to get out my trimmers and clean up around the beard line and the back of the neck. Not every man goes for a fresh haircut right before a shoot and I do not cut hair, so I always just need to work with whatever they walk in with.

Sometimes celebrities (especially men) do not want to be touched much but Osvaldo didn’t mind, so I gave him a deep tissue massage to lift his already beautiful face and drain a bit of the inflammation that most of us have. The result was a perfectly chiseled jawline and cheekbones, so I had to be careful not to cut my hand ;)

I woke up his skin with hyuralonic acid and my favorite calming serum by Florishe beauty (also gave him one of my favorite Florishe Beauty mask s to take home and put on that night before bed) and of course, liberally applied SPF 50 sunscreen since some of our looks were going to be shot outdoors.

I then covered any spots, brightened the undereye area. groomed his eyebrows, and filled in any empty spots in his beard.

I dampened his curls and diffused them with my dyson diffuser on the lowest setting and a bit of control cream. Then i styled his hair with some Oribe paste for a more coifed look.

So Ladies and gentlemen… enjoy the bonbon that is Osvaldo Benavides in June’s issue of Esquire Magazine. Haz click here to see the full version in Spanish.
