Izzy 90s Glam by Amberly Valentine

Amberly Valentine, a super talented British photographer based in Bali, was in Miami and she’s incredible, so naturally, I jumped at the opportunity to work with her. It was a sweltering hot day in Mid-town Miami and she expertly weaved that fact into the editorial story.

With gorgeous luxury suits by luxury brands such as Balmain and Chanel exquisitely styled by Ooomar, our model Izzy worked it.

I was asked to be part of the shoot last minute and was already booked on a different job later that day. So I did the makeup and hair early in the morning and only was able to stay for the first part of the shoot on the balcony overlooking mid-town Miami and Wynwood. I did a lot of skin prep and sunscreen to make sure her skin was in incredible shape and the makeup would last as long as possible in this extreme heat. I used Tom Ford Traceless foundation sticks on her complexion, contoured her incredible face a lot with cream, and then reinforced it with powder contour in a taupey grey-brown. and then added tons of bronzer. I elongated her eyes which are on the smaller side for a sexy look using all matte shadows and then used Charlotte Tilbury lipliner pencil in Foxy Brown and Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in 90s baby (they discontinued it, I’m so sad) but I wanted a very 90s supermodel look and I think we got just that.

Once I got the pictures I was super happy to see that…. although she was sweaty… the makeup stayed!! The sweat even looked editorial. All-in-all super pleased with these special images!!!
